Well, where does one even begin when they have been on a journey of self-discovery for over a decade?

I live in the suburbs of Kansas City with my husband and two kiddos, where I practice real estate and am getting into RE investing. From 2019-2023, I owned a luxury home goods and furniture store to coincide with my real estate business, until overhead costs became too big of a burden, and I had to make the devastating decision to close the doors to my beloved shop. I am a huge dreamer, and lover of all things “lifestyle,” including fashion (I have a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising), home (in case you didn't already pick that up), hosting, traveling, DIY projects, healthy living, and more. I am usually found with my head in the clouds drumming up my next trip or business venture.

I am a multi-passionate creative entrepreneur. For years, I listened to “gurus” who told me to “niche down” and “the riches are in the niches.” It always made me feel so lost and confused to think about what that looks like for me. I mean, how could I possibly let go of pieces of myself to go all-in on one thing? I decided to ignore the randos on the internet and go ahead and do whatever the heck I want. Enter: Courtney in the Clouds. This is my corner of the internet where I put all my passions together, and the name “Courtney in the Clouds” seemed fitting for allowing me to express myself and all my big crazy dreams and projects. Honestly? I don't really care about the riches. All I really want is to find my people, live with purpose, and leave this world a better place than I found it.
